Peter Crawford is a highly regarded Economic Policy Advisor working for the Palmerston North City Council. He provides advice on the economic direction of the City, leads economic policy work, provides economic analysis on major projects and monitors the City’s economic performance.
Peter’s past experience was in trade policy, regional development and import licensing policy work for Department of Trade and Industry. He was also Executive Officer for a range of manufacturing groups and Policy Advisor/Analyst for NZ Manufacturer’s Federation and Policy Analyst for Business New Zealand. Peter was a member of Central Government’s review of the land transport strategy and sat on the Local Government Forum.
Peter currently sits on the Statistics NZ Housing Statistics Users Group.
His key areas of expertise include Economic analysis, Economic monitoring and Strategy development.
Joining him will be one of the City Planners to talk about recent changes to the District Plan and the work that the Council has underway which will be of particular interest to residential investors
Their presentation is timely having recently completed a large housing and Business Development Capacity Assessment which was a requirement from Government.
