Colin Comber, along with his wife Margaret, commenced investing in residential property in 2002, by buying the “property next door that housed the tenants from hell”.
Over subsequent years they have grown a rental portfolio comprising a variety of housing types, mostly located in central New Plymouth.
More recently, the portfolio has expanded, in conjunction with another business partner, to include large multi-unit tenancies in Palmerston North.
In Colin's professional life, he worked in local government as an RMA and Environmental Planner and today operates a private consultancy in that sector.
Colin is passionate about all property and has been an executive member of the Taranaki Property Investors Association since 2003 including 5 years as President and Treasurer. He also served on the New Zealand Property Investors Federation as National Secretary 2013-2016.
Come along and hear a story about a journey in property investment (so far) where Colin will also share some of his learnings about property investment.
