Commercial Real Estate in the Manawatu
Steve came to Palmerston North to attend Massey University at the age of 18. Half way through his degree he allowed himself to be distracted and left to work for a local electronics retail business to earn money to complete his pilots license, the plan was a career in aviation. He got his pilots license but also got the bug for business and selling so he stayed. After a number of years he bought into the company and as General Manager was part of a team that grew the business to 70 staff and 7 branches.
After 20 years of highly successful retail he sold his interests in the company and left for a new adventure in the world of business. Then married with 4 children he launched into establishing the Commercial operation of Unique Realty Ltd – Professionals under an arrangement with owners Max & Joss Vertongen.
He returned to Massey and completed a Business Studies Diploma and nearly 22 years later and with a long established and successful team of four he’s still enjoying every minute of it.
The Commercial operation specialises in Commercial Property Sales and Leasing, Business Broking and Commercial Property Management. The Professionals are proud of a number of achievements:
Top NZ Professionals Commercial Office currently and in most years
The Regions longest established specialist business brokerage team
The Region’s largest portfolio of managed commercial properties – we are in effect the region’s largest commercial landlord
A long established stable team – Kerrie has been with Steve 20 years and Pete 12 years.
18 Years ago, with some other Palmerstonians, Steve established the Palmerston North SafeCity Trust. It is a registered charitable trust dedicated to the social and economic well-being of Palmerston North’s Central Business District and in particular mitigating alcohol related harm in the social centre of our vibrant ‘young people’s city’. Through this work Steve has been the recipient of the Palmerston North City Council Civic Honours Award for voluntary community service and also as a non-Rotarian and received the Paul Harris Fellowship Award for community contribution .
Many have asked for a Commercial Real Estate speaker and who better to present on ‘our Commercial Property. Steve will cover the following:
